My story

From 0 to 60

When I started my first job in Silicon Valley, I managed just 7 people. In a few years, my team had grown to over 60 (!), many of them remote. For a while, I was flying by the seat of my pants, and it was terrifying. When I finally got formal management training, it changed my life. My employees were more engaged, we got more done, and everyone was happier and more productive. This experience has stuck with me; I know first-hand what it feels like to be thrown into the deep end of management, but also how life-changing practical, hands-on training can be. I started this business to help other new managers learn the foundational skills they need in order to become confident, effective, and thoughtful leaders.

A purposeful approach

Practical, not fluffy

Most management training programs out there are leadership-focused, meaning they’re teaching things like confidence in communication, writing your leadership philosophy, and developing executive presence. Which is great, but not super helpful when you’re just getting started in a managerial role. New managers need tangible skills.

That’s why my training focuses on practical topics and takes a hands-on approach. I’ve helped coach and develop dozens of new managers and understand the core skills you need the most. Write your leadership philosophy next year; right now, just learn to delegate a project successfully.

My perspective

A millenial manager, not a senior leader

You will never hear me start a story with, “Well, back in my day…” because this is my day. I’m a millenial manager, and, unlike a lot of leadership trainers on the market, I understand the real challenges new managers face in modern-day companies because I’ve been there recently. Hence the focus on new managers: that was me just a few years ago and the lessons I share are fresh and relevant. I help new leaders make their own 0 to 60 transformation.
